Maternity & Baby checklist

Baby necessary item /bedding needs

1) Sterilizer or (to cut cost find a clean pot and boil the bottles/teats in water)
2) warmer or (old method use warm water to heat up the items)
3) playpen /cot or (mattress)
4) Mittens/ booties (3-6 sets)
5) Rompers bodysuit (hot weather in singapore get short sleeve) 3-6 pcs
6) Tops/ bottom (longsleeve and long pants 2sets)
7) TOPS/ BOTTOM *(short sleeve and shorts 2-3sets)
8) cotton wool (prepare in balls )
9) diaper cover- if you not prepare to use diaper
10) receiving blanket(optional)
11) bottles (4 oz-125ml)
12) bottles (8oz-250ml) - i think this is not necessary at the moment
13) teats (not really necessary get it with the bottles)
14) Milk powder container
15) feeding bottle rack
16) tongs
17) bottle/ teat brush
18) nursery bag (normally hospital will include)
19) Baby mointor
20) cot mobile
21) crib sheet
22) bumper pad
23) water proof sheet (especially useful)
24) blanket
25) changing table

Baby Bathing needs

• bathtub- normally given by hospital
• bath mat
• towel
• wash cloth (get a no of these)
• natural sponge
• baby soap
• baby oil (esp useful when removing dry faces on baby bottom)
• babylotion (can use aero vera as good )
• baby powder /puff (depend on person i personally dont like to use this)
• nappy rash cream

Mother needs.......

• nursing bras/supporting bras
• disposable panties during confinement month
• breast pads (i like disposable pigeon brand)
• breast pump (avent maual and medala electric pump is my preference)
• birth bridles
• body cream
• breast cream
• maternity pads
• herbal bath which you can get from local chinese medical hall(cost est $2)
